Adjust Brightness & Contrast

Three adjustments fix most snapshots: brightness for exposure, contrast for flatness, and saturation for washed-out or overcooked color. Everything previews live and nothing is uploaded.

How to adjust brightness & contrast

  1. Upload a JPG, PNG or WebP photo.
  2. Move the brightness, contrast and saturation sliders and watch the preview update.
  3. Download the edited image when it looks right.

Which slider fixes which problem

Brightness lifts or lowers every tone equally. Use it for a photo that is simply too dark or too bright - but push it far and highlights blow out to flat white.

Contrast pushes darks darker and lights lighter. It is the fix for a hazy, gray-looking photo, and the thing to reduce when shadows have gone solid black.

Saturation controls color intensity. A small lift makes product shots look healthier; a large one turns skin orange. When in doubt, adjust less than feels right.

Frequently asked questions

Does my image leave my device?

No. The file is read and edited by your browser using the Canvas API. Nothing is uploaded, so there is no queue and no copy on a server.

Can I undo my changes?

Return the sliders to their neutral position and the preview goes back to the original. Your source file is never modified.

Why does my edited photo look different on another screen?

Screens vary in brightness and color calibration. Judge exposure on a screen at a normal brightness setting, and avoid editing in direct sunlight.
