How to change text case

  1. Paste your text into the input box.
  2. Choose UPPERCASE, lowercase, Title Case or Sentence case.
  3. Copy the converted text.

Which case to use where

Sentence case is easier to read than title case at longer lengths, which is why most modern interfaces and documentation use it for headings.

Title case here capitalises the first letter of each word. Editorial style guides differ on whether short words such as "of" and "the" should stay lowercase, so check headlines against your own style guide.

Frequently asked questions

Can I undo a conversion?

Your original text stays in the input box, so you can switch between styles freely or copy the original back out.

Does it handle accented characters?

Yes. Conversion uses the browser's Unicode-aware case mapping, so accents and non-Latin scripts are handled correctly.

Is there a length limit?

No hard limit. Very long documents may feel slightly slower to type into, since the result updates on every keystroke.
